Source: Knicks Interested in Steve Nash Trade →
nbaoffseason:
I know some Knick fans were upset with my idea in the chat from yesterday that NY might be intereted in Steve Nash. Well, I’m not the only one…
BTW, don’t fall too in love with Ray Felton. While he is having a career year, thanks to the system, and is the type of player who will help get you to the playoffs, he is destined to break your heart in an April matchup vs. Rose or Rondo....

An Expectations-Shattering 2010 Season
The Three Greatest Moments of the surprising 2010 Blue Jays Baseball Season:
Cito Gaston’s last game as Blue Jays Manager (1989-1997, 2008-2010)
Bautista going from a 16-Hr hitter a year before to post 54, breaking George Bells record. Helping the Blue Jays establish the lead as team homerun leaders, and break into the top 3 for all-time homeruns by a team in a single season.

MLB.com Power Rankings Finally give the Jays the... →
“Arguably the most underrated team in the game, you can’t help but wonder how the Blue Jays would fare if they were not in the toughest division in baseball.”
TS: The Jays are inching closer to the division rival, and my favourite match-up of the year each time, the Boston Red Sox - I predict this gap to grow even smaller. With the Jays young stars starting to take pro form and...

All that bad?
For almost all of 2010, sports reporters have been using Toronto as an example of a city where the market share and size are there, but the winning simply is not. I believe that this situation really is becoming falsified! On the heels of seasons where the city’s NBA and NHL teams falling a game short and an extremely long-shot away, respectively, from postseason play - I think that this...

Alot of these plays in this NBA.com top-10 are from returning players for this upcoming year? I feel a hightlight reel-filled year coming on, and I think this team can compete for the East playoffs’ 6/7/8th spot! No Cleveland to come between us (unless A. Jamieson throws a very frustration-filled elbow at Bargs).
Toronto Tops ESPN Stadium Food Ratings? →
I knew it was decent, never thought it was this above-average. Then again i did go to Joe Loius Arena in the spring to see the Shitwings and the food was questionable. Also, I am never eating at Dolphins stadium! ..and I will continue to eat those kosher fries during Raps games.

The Raptors Offseason thus far..
After loosing their career guy in Chris Bosh (who is now the number 3 guy in Miami with Wade and James, and in hindsight much less of a difference maker than Vince was) it is now looking like the type of Raptors team that could still be very much a player in the Easter Conference Playoff picture next season. I can see this team fighting with New York/Cleveland/Charlotte for that 8th spot.
As of...

Toronto Raptors At the Half
Watching this team lately has been nothing short of entertaining! A solid run to close out the half (2nd hottest in the league as of late), a dominant dunk performance by their Rookie, and a statement by their star, has fans and the organization thinking big things come April.
And then theres this issue, with such a dominant showing by Bosh, and the possiblity that his team could fall short,...

Heres the Recap on a Huge Game for Canada’s Basketball Team.
TS: Raptors Loose by just one point to the League-Best Pheonix Suns, run by Canadian Steve Nash playing against Canada’s Basketball team, coached by Canadian Jay Triano. Hockey will always have its place as Canada’s true sport, but on a night when only American teams won, this game was prime-time.
It was lost as Hedo...

The last hope...
For Toronto sports this year just may be the Toronto Raptors. With TFC just recently eliminated from playoff contention, the Blue Jays far from it, and the Maple Leafs off to a horrible start, the Toronto Raptors in their 15th season just may be able to energize the city once again.
With a solid starting lineup featuring recently-acquired clutch shooting Hedo Turkoglu, All-Star forward Chris...

Summer Forecast: '09-10 East standings - Raptors... →
TS: The Raptors X-Factors this season are definitely a dual effort of Hedo Turkoglue and Andrea Bargnani, but in comparison to the teams they are tied with (ie. Washington & Philadelphia) it seems as though when Hedo was in Orlando and last year in terms of Andrea, these were the teams they played exceptionally well against.

FIRST ROUND RAPTORS
Before taking a look at the Raptors squad, I originally guessed the team this year had 6, but surprsingly the 2009-10 Raptors have 11 FIRST ROUND PICKS (and 2 Undrafted Players):
Rasho Nesterovic
Hedo Turkoglu
Chris Bosh
Marcus Banks
Antoine Wright
Jarret Jack
Andrea Bargnani
Patrick O’Byrant
Quincy Douby
Marco Belinelli
DeMar DeRozan
Jose Calderon and...

TS: Other notables to round out the rotation: Chauncey Billups, Anthony Parker, Morris Peterson, Charles Oakley. I think it’s safe to say, after this season the favourites will expand to include players such as: Hedo Turkoglu, Andrea Bargnani, Jose Calderon, and Jarret Jack.

Summer Forecast: Where will Bosh be? →
“Most star players don’t leave, so the fact that only 5.8 percent of our panelists expect Bosh to stay in Toronto is telling, in one of two ways: Either our collective wisdom is seriously off-kilter, or we are correctly reading Bosh’s signals that he’s outta there.
Raptors fans had to be heartened by the enthusiasm Bosh showed when Toronto honcho Bryan Colangelo made his...

Travis Snider in Review
“Just the opportunity is encouraging on its own,” Snider said on his seventh day back after what seemed like a lifetime in Triple-A Las Vegas. “But when you start to see results, you just try to build off of them and continue to get better every day. You just try and stay patient. Some at-bats you’re going to get it. Other at-bats you’re not.”

Step 7: Raptors Add Depth, Again; in Johnson and...
The Raptors have officially made complete an arguable 9-10 man rotation, in the recent addition of Amir Johnson and Sonny Weems, in a sign and trade deal with Carlos Delfino and Roko Ukic. Colangelo continues to impress, but like him I’m still not making any concrete predictions until basketball is played (maybe Pre-season).
Press Release

“Forbes business magazine estimated last November the Leafs were the most valuable hockey franchise in North America at $449 million (U.S.) and the Raptors the 17th most valuable basketball franchise at $310 million. Part of those estimates included the value of the Air Canada Centre, estimating it was worth about $228 million. So, those three assets were supposedly worth $876 million...

Yes, I have not written in a while. I just finished watching what I think is enough Jays baseball for one night. A costly throw from Travis Snider brings the Rays within reach of the Jays’ top of the inning 3-run lead, and then a timely 10-foot shot towards first allows Halladay to make an easy out but the tying run simultaneously scores. Mid 4th. The Jays were flying high all May, and then...

Raptors trade again
Brian Colangelo is not done! Today ESPN.com reported a trade for Milwaukee’s recently acquired Amir Johnson, the Raptors will acquire the agile Forward and a player yet to be finalized in exchange for; Roko Ukic and sign and trade for Carlos Delfino.
This trade is another perfect fit to possibly complete the offseason, with the 2009/10 roster looking like:

Great Win
Jays took the first game of the series against the Bronx, Jays bullpen was solid shutting out the All-Star Yankee bats, 5-4 was the final.
The team also got rid of Rios-fans alike would love to see the funds from his contract go to the much hoped-for resigning of Halladay-look to also see rookie Snider make an MLB return.
